This is a heavyweight bed with a strong frame that is secure once everything has been pushed into position. There are two big pieces of frame on either side of the middle and these are quite uncomfortable if you try turning, so I would consider adding a mattress on top for added comfort (note there is a version that comes with a mattress included). The headrest is padded but again, I would add an extra pillow for comfort for use overnight.The product images that show this bed alongside a tent in the middle of nowhere look very appealing, but this is a heavyweight bed and I am not sure I would want to walk far carrying it, so I would only consider taking it a short distance on foot even though it comes with a bag to make carrying or storage a little easier.It is a good bed, but needs some additional padding in the form of a mattress and/or pillow for overnight use.
