Davvero molto valide. Comodissime ed ergonomiche, molto migliori delle mie precedenti. La zip e gli strap fanon si che non si muovano di un centimetro nonostante salti o sobbalzi. Davvero notevoli

Ich trage die Protektoren nun seit über 2 Jahren, hatte zuvor bereits die „K-Pact“ ohne Reißverschluss und kann mittlerweile auch auf rund 10 andere Protektoren-Modelle zurückblicken. Daher kann ich einen ganz guten Vergleich ziehen und letztendlich sagen, dass die „ION K Pact Zip“ meine All-Time-Favoriten sind.Zur Transparenz: Ich bin nicht gesponsert oder verdiene etwas mit Rezensionen, die Protektoren habe ich mir selbst gekauft.👍 Tops:- Ich konnte mich (leider) schon des Öfteren von der Schutzwirkung der Protektoren überzeugen. Am Knie hatte ich nach all den Stürzen und Crashs wirklich dann aber noch nie Probleme, obwohl man ja bei Stürzen ganz oft mit dem Knie zuerst in den Boden geht. Echt top!- Die Labor- und Prüfwerte bestätigen das: der „ION K-Pact Zip“ scheint ein sehr sicherer Protektor zu sein. Ein höheres Level als dieses findet man nicht im MTB-Sport bei Knie-Protektoren. Oftmals geht der „ION“ als Testsieger oder Kauftipp aus Tests in Bike-Zeitungen heraus.- Der „ION K-Pact Zip“ verfügt über seitliche Knieprotektion. Rahmenschläge und andere Kontakte sind somit kaum ein Thema. Die seitliche Protektion fällt hier auch sehr üppig aus. Sehr gut!- Insgesamt gesehen vermittelt der „ION“ einem ein Gefühl der Unverwundbarkeit, zumindest am Knie. Dies ist nicht zuletzt der steifen Verarbeitung und dem daraus stabilisierendem Effekt geschuldet.- Die Knie-Protektoren sitzen sehr sicher und verrutschen auch nicht. Falls doch, zieht man einfach nochmal die Bänder etwas fester an.- Der „ION K-Pact Zip“ verfügt über seitliche Reißverschlüsse. Man muss also nicht immer erst die Schuhe ausziehen, das ist ein riesiger Pluspunkt in der Handhabung! Allerdings zwicken diese manchmal, an manchen Tagen spüre ich sie aber wiederum auch gar nicht...- Die Protektoren sind hochwertig verarbeitet, haben aber immer noch ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.👎 Flops:- Einen halben Punkt Abzug gibt es dann aber doch wegen mancher Komfortprobleme. Die Schilder im Strumpf zwicken bei falscher Lage etwas. Außerdem zwickt an manchen Stellen etwas der Reißverschluss. Die Fahrt muss dann unterbrochen und alles neu gerichtet werden.- Auf die Dauer bzw. erst nach Monaten leiern die Gummi-Bänder etwas aus. Das war auch schon zuvor bei den „ION K-Pact“ der Fall. Diese lassen sich immer noch anziehen und sitzen auch noch, allerdings ist das schon eine Schwachstelle im Material.☝️ Das sollte man bedenken:- Die „ION K-Pact Zip“ sind nicht gerade schlank und tragen dick auf. Man kann sie nicht unter allen langen Bikehosen tragen, selbst unter meinen weiteren Hosen haut es auch nur gerade so hin.- Die Protektoren sind vorgeformt. Dadurch kann man mit durchgestreckten Beinen nicht gerade sehr komfortabel stehen. Beim Biken verschwindet dieser Effekt aber sofort.- Mir wird unter den „ION K-Pact Zip“ immer sehr warm, die Hitze staut sich schon in den Protektoren. Als Tourenprotektor ist der „ION“ wohl etwas überdimensioniert, es geht aber logischerweise auch damit.- In den „ION K-Pact“ trug ich Größe L, in den „ION K-Pact Zip“ musste ich allerdings XL wählen...👉 Fazit:Die „ION K-Pact Zip“ sind wirklich tolle Knieprotektoren! Diese gehören mittlerweile auch zu meinen Top-3-Lieblings-Protektoren (neben „POC Oseus“ und „Seven Sam Hill“). Falls ich mich jedoch nur für einen Protektor entscheiden müsste, dann wären es die „Ion“. Klar, die „Seven Sam Hill“ sind die komfortabelsten Schoner auf Touren, dicht gefolgt von den „POC Oseus", welche dann noch etwas mehr Schutz bieten. Da ich aber auch gerne im Bikepark unterwegs bin und auch gerne hoch-alpine, felsige Trails fahre, vertraue ich dann doch immer auf die wuchtigen sowie bombenfest sitzenden „ION K-Pact Zip“ und ziehe diese dann immer den anderen vor.Falls man nun aber doch breiter aufgestellt sein will – mit Berücksichtigung von Touren- und Bikeparkeinsätzen und dies auch an sehr warmen Tagen – so sei jedem die Kombi „ION K-Pact Zip“ & „POC Oseus VPD Knee“ ans Herz gelegt.

These are INCREDIBLE heavy duty knee pads and what more companies should aspire to be like! I've gone through loads of knee and elbow pads, trying to find good ones that fit. You'd think it would be much easier, but it isn't! SOOO many MTB companies are just clueless about how to make a pad that fits, stays in place and protects well. No idea why they can't just go to a hockey store and look at all the pads and do some research. It's pathetic how bad most MTB protective equipment fits and does such a poor job of protection. Plus they charge OUTRAGEOUS prices that are so far out of line with what you actually get.But not these! ION makes really high quality pads. And the only other company I've tried that is as good is POC! I've got some lighter duty Trail riding knee pads from ION that are absolutely incredible (the K-Traze Amp zip), POC Joint VPD 2.0 elbow pads and now these K-Pact zip knee pads for DH/shuttle days. All are top of the line in every way. Fit, protection and comfort.These are made of high quality materials in every part of the pad. They have quality straps at the top and bottom of the knee to help keep it tighter if you need that. But the sleeve just fits on it's own, without even having to tighten them down that much. They have a slight bend to them, to help them fit better, yet still move enough to be able to pedal easily. The zipper on the sides are genius and other brands need to pay attention to this super amazing feature ION is using. The pads themselves are very nice and protective, and wrap all the way around your knee cap and down your shin a bit. Has a really nice deep round shape that really conforms AROUND your knee, not just the very front like a lot of other lame pads do. They even have nice dense padding on the sides, top and bottom that will actually protect you (unlike the cheap low density foam most brands use). Plus the outside material is super durable and long lasting. My K-Traze Amp Zip Trail pads have seen some pretty nasty crashes at high speeds while doing DH shuttle days and look almost like new still. I just needed a bit more heavy duty protection, so I stepped up to these and love them.The security your mind has when wearing heavy duty pads, helmets, etc when trying new jump lines or dangerous DH lines is so much higher. Knowing that if you crash, the majority of your body will be just fine is a HUGE boost to pushing your riding past your limits.The only thing these pads don't excel at is pedaling days. You can still pedal just fine in them, but seeing as how thick and padded they are, it would make trail days not as fun. But that isn't what they're made for, so you shouldn't even be looking at these unless you're riding DH or shuttle.Can't recommend these enough as THE BEST DH/shuttle knee pads on the market. Although I'm sure POC makes some really good knee pads as well, based off of how great their Joint VPD 2.0 elbow pads are. Much better than the 100% Surpass and much less expensive. Even though these aren't "cheap" price wise, I feel very good about the value I get from them. They fit so well, feel so comfortable and offer the best protection. All for less (or the same price) than a lot of the other heavy duty knee pads out there!
