Pour tendre le cable pas de problème mais très difficile à derouler le cable à vide car la tole de guidage frotte sur le cable enroulé et il faut un tournevis pour écarter la tole. Produit à déconseiller

1. Arrived with cable unable to unwind. The cable gets jammed on the spool. Had to fiddle with it to get it to unwind.2. Has no ability to use the rachet handle to unwind. You must press a small release latch which releases all at once. When you have hundreds of pounds on the cable and it's release flies with you finger in the latch - pretty scary.3. On a heavier pull the latch would not release by finger pressure at all - just jams by friction. Had to use a big pliers just to press the release lever and it bent. Never did release, had to cut a strap just to get it to release.

Winch arrived with cable jammed in spool and could no be released. Had to disassemble remove spool and untangle. Used it to raise a load and could not release the cable. Jammed again ! Took it apart again and found cable crossed. There is a spool retainer that is supposed to keep the cable from jumping but it doesn’t work at all. No matter how careful you are the cable does not wind back on the spool without jumping across another part of the cable.

I tried, I mean really, really tried to like this come-along. I was using it to tension up new chain link fencing, which it did very well. But after fighting with it for over an hour, I decided to send it back and use a ratchet strap instead.The issue I had wasn’t with the tensioning, it was with the releasing of the tension. Holding down two release levers, while trying to pay out the cable was much more difficult than it should be. Too bad, because the price was good, but then again, you get what you pay for.
