Child thought it seemed bulky when she first put it on out of the package but now doesn’t notice it at all during practices/games. I like this better than the collar version, which doesn’t have the bottom piece that fans out. She can easily tuck the bottom piece of this one under her chest protector and it covers her from the base of her jaw all the way down to chest piece, no gaps.

The bib under the collar goes under my son’s chest protector and stays put. Doesn’t chafe his neck and looks very protective.
