I've lived in Cambridge for 20 years now and had at least five bicycles stolen in that time. I doubt I'm an outlier there; it's a real problem in the city. The only bikes that have lasted longer than 3 years without being stolen have been fitted with one of these frame locks - as well as D-lock attaching them to something more solid.Fitting the lock does take a bit of finesse but as long as the bike has the required mounting eyes, it shouldn't be beyond anyone who does their own bike maintenance.Top tip: as with any mechanical lock, giving it a squirt of oil once every couple of months will keep it running smoothly even in cold weather.

A bit fiddly to fit on some bikes, but worth it. Never leave your lock at home again, and the key stays in and cannot be removed until you lock it. Best bought with the accompanying cable to attach to bike parks.
