Historia
En 1921, junto al río Mörrum en Svängsta, Suecia, Carl August Borgström fundó AB Urfabriken.
La empresa fabricaba relojes de bolsillo, temporizadores telefónicos y taxímetros.
Borgström era un artesano brillante con talento para la ingeniería ligera de precisión; habilidades que había adquirido durante sus años en la fábrica de relojería Halda.
Desafortunadamente, la Segunda Guerra Mundial provocó una fuerte caída en la demanda de taxímetros, sin desanimarse, ABU redirigió sus habilidades hacia el desarrollo de carretes de pesca de precisión.
Es por eso que Abu García recibió una distinción otorgada a un grupo selecto de fabricantes por superar constantemente sus más altos estándares de calidad y artesanía.
La compañía mantiene su firme compromiso de mantener su posición de liderazgo en la industria proporcionando a los pescadores los productos más innovadores y de la mayor calidad.

buen carrete, una vez le coges el tranquillo (a ver como traducen esto al chino) es muy cómodo lanzar y lanzar a una mano aunque OJO solo válido para señuelos más bien pesados y si se trata de lanzar lejos. Si quieres precisión y usar señuelos como cucharillas, esta no es la mejor opción. Si vas a pescar recorriendo la orilla de un embalse para lanzar muy muy lejos y muchas veces, entonces sí.

Prodotto conforme alle aspettative, solido, robusto e ben rifinito. Oltre a due viti non strette bene, presentava qualche lieve segno sulla manovella e sul perno laterale dovute forse ad un assemblaggio non fatto proprio con il massimo della cura. Ancora da testare ma nell’insieme soddisfacente.Torno dopo un mese di utilizzo a completare la recensione. Nel complesso è un gioiellino preciso e ben fatto, ma boccio completamente la frizione che non è per nulla comoda e laboriosa nell’utilizzo, peccato.

I've never used an underspin reel before but had heard great things about this reel and Abu Garcia is one of the few that consistantly produces superior reels...As Grandpa would say, "If it ain't doin' the job, you're not using it right". This reel has a slight learning curve being that it's actioned by the index finger and you CAN'T operate this with a pistol style gripped rod, but casting is quickly mastered and the performance and action is incredible. With a normal reel the cast-off tends to go in the direction of the thumb, but this reel casts off in the direction that your index finger points off to naturally when letting off. I love top water bass fishing with the challenge of getting into those tight hiding placing...I was able to drop my popper preciously where I wanted it consistantly. I felt like a pro. The reel is solid, smooth and high quality. The drag is a bit touchy and takes a little adjusting here and there, but that's something I normally do anyways. The weight being under the reel gives it a more balanced feel than a traditional reel and is great when fishing and casting for hours. Anyone with arthritis or stiffness in the hands or fingers might be able to use this more comfortably than a traditional reel and I would recommend giving it a try. I also thought I could feel those sensitive "nibbles" a little better than with a traditional reel. All in all I'm very pleased with this reel and will use it along with my traditional reel to add a little variety.
