Weight with packaging: 15.25 oz ( 433 grams)Weight with just the tube tent, without package and string: 14 oz (398 grams)String alone: about 3/8 oz (12 grams)Tent size as packaged and folded: 9 1/4 inches by 7 inches.Unpacked size: about 8 ft long and 6 ft wide. The 6ft width is when its flat, which gives it about a 12 foot diameter when opened, or about 4 feet on each side and 4 foot on the bottom if you set it up in a perfect triangle. Don't have to set up in a perfect triangle, can make the walls taller or shorter depending on needs. You'll need to add sticks, rocks, shoes, etc, to the inside bottom edges in order to maintain its shape. Could do this on the outside but would waist a lot of space. The ends of the tent are not secured to the rope (like a tarp would be with eyelets). The tent material and rope are a little bit grippy. This and the internal rocks, sticks, etc, should keep the ends in place, on the rope, but using a Prusik knot with a tie off made with a small object at the tent ends would ensure that the ends stay in place. Just take a pebble, small clump of dirt, etc, and make tie off point at 2 ends of the tent near the rope, then tie the tie off point to the rope using the Prusik knot so secure it and adjust accordingly. Google Prusik if not familier. Easy knot and allows you to adjust along another rope. This would likely be carried in a backpack as opposed to a fanny pack or a pocket and is more akin to a heavy duty type space blanket (the $20 dollar ones) in terms of size and weight, as opposed to an emergency type space blanket (the thin mylar $5 ones).Definitely not an item you can carry in your pocket. In the same size weight category as:1. Heavy duty ($20) space blanket with grommets2. Tent rain fly3. 6x8 tarpsThickness is listed as 2.5 mils. The heavy duty contractor trash bags are 3 mils, kitchen trash bags around 1 mil. The 2.5 mil thickness seems to be a good balance between weight and durability. I would say this leans more towards durability than packability, meaning its probably not a one time use product if your careful. In short, its a contractor type trash bag that's 8 ft long, and can be fashioned into tent with a 4 foot wide floor and 2 4 foot long walls. This is neither a positive or a negative. Just throwing out some specs for comparative purposes. I like this tent and plan on throwing it into my emergency backpacking shelter rotation.

Perfect to add to any hiking bag or bug out bag. works well in a pinch. Good product at a great price. I have reused this about 4 times now and it is still holding up.
