It has several accessories you can put on here, including two external grips, a tripod/wireless microphone, a shotgun, external battery packs, and the famous hand grip.They did a fantastic job designing this camera with the idea that it would create an extra layer of protection.This is because the type of camera will be going through the motions and taking a beating when it comes to video production is isThey took time to design us correctly with a vast array of buttons that Nikon is known for, along with not blocking the battery and Nikon's new release of their flippy screen.Nikon took a page out of Canon's playbook and introduced a flippy screen as a game-changerWhen it comes to Nikon's high-end, professional, commercial-grade cameras, this is a great rig.I also want to take a minute to comment on the sheer amount of screws they introduced with this grip because not many companies take the time when it comes to design and manufacturing to focus on the small nuances of such a high-end camera.With the many accessories that can be added to this camera, one of my favorite aspects is a rotatable side handle called a NATO rail. They also have another grip for stabilizing shooting.If you look at their page, they have various accessories for this camera. There are not many cage manufacturers that I trust, as i have used some that just weren’t built for ergonomics or for functionality. Nitze took all that into consideration when they designed this cage. It will house your Z8 securely with a multi point locking system, to ensure that your camera does not shake or shift within the cage. The cage is built well and is very rigid. It will not flex under the weight of a full rig load out like some of the cheaper brands i have tried. There are a lot of mounting locations, making it possible to load up your rig exactly the way you want it without compromise.The Z8 is an amazing Hybrid camera, so having a cage that will not restrict its capabilities is a must. This cage does not awkwardly block the hot shoe, which is very important because I use triggers for off camera flash and some on camera flash for photography. It’s great that I do not have to remove the cage in order for me to go back and forth between video and photography.This cage is perfect for the hybrid shooter and does not add unwanted bulk or excessive weight so that you can move freely.
