Disappointed. The 4lb tumbler unit received can only be filled halfway at most, and at that capacity still struggles even at speed 9. It worked best when only filled 1/4-1/3, but at that capacity the rocks bang around and get beat up. Did I receive a weak unit? There are also two cracks in the edge of the lid. Cannot recommend.

I bought this for a gift for a close friend. No complaints and the first cycle of rocks turned out exactly as expected. It’s somewhat noisy so you’ll want to put it a place of its own. Made of good quality and worth the purchase. Only reason for the 4 stars was the noise.

Garbage. Tried the first, doesn’t have enough force to turn even 0.5lb load is speed less than 5.Ordered a replacement and same issue. Even though is advertised as 2.5lb load capacity.Piece of junk from China

It's important to note that the rated 2 1/2 lb. capacity of this tumbler includes the weight of the barrel and all its contents. That means you can tumble about a pound or so of rocks, and I find that with ceramic media etc. that only fills the barrel to about 1/2 full rather than the 2/3 to 3/4 full that most experienced rock tumblers recommend. If your total load (barrel, lid, rocks, grit, and ceramic media) exceeds 2 lbs. you may find as I did that the tumbler will start and stop at 1-2 minute intervals or shut down completely. When I contacted Vevor about this, they sent me instructions to:"1. Check the internal circuit of the machine2. Try switching to a backup power source.with a video showing how to disassemble the tumbler and detach the circuit board.I checked that all the connections were tight and was fortunate enough to have an old power supply that matched the one supplied but provided 1.5 amps rather than the 1.0 amps of the power supply that came with it.The extra .5 amps seems to have corrected the issue.Alternatively, I found that by increasing the 'speed' to its highest setting also kept it from stopping and with a 2.24 lb. total load seemed to run at about the same speed no matter what setting (above 3) was selected. You will also probably want to purchase some better grits and media than what is provided to get decent results. That being said, I purchased it for $39.99 on Black Friday and have gotten surprisingly good results. So, I guess if you have the right skills, parts and patience it's a good deal.Just don't expect everything to work right out of the box, and if you have problems (unless you only want instructions on how to fix it yourself) just return it to Amazon, and don't bother with trying to get help from Vevor.

Torque is proportional to speed. Manual says it speed 1-2 won’t turn more than 2.5 lbs of load. In reality it needs speed 7 to churn 2 lbs.
