The Moles I have in the UK are larger than the hole in this trap. I found in all cases that the Mole either digs around the trap or pushes is out of the tunnel. I actually started to admire the moles for getting around this trap, the other thing they don't tell you, is that moles have very sensitive smell, they hunt by smell and vibration. Moles don't like the smell of humans, and lets be honest I have met a few that really pong, wear gloves and make sure everything is washed prior to use, also cover with grass which will also mask the smells., have caught three moles but using different traps. These are a great idea but my experience is that they don't work.
