These are very good crimpers which produce a nice even crimp on the terminals. They are of a good quality and not flimsy like some other cheaper ones out thereWorth paying that bit extra for in my opinion

If you make alot of different electrical/electronic connections as I do from time to time then this is a must have tool. Had similar versions in the past and this one for me is a clear winner. Well made and does the job first time, when used correctly. Thumbs up from me.

I have several crimping tools for both insulated and non insulated with the latter being the most important as I use these frequently on my motorbike that use mainly uninsulated with silicon covers, as well as the terminals for connectors, relay housings, etc. The other crimping tools I have are the ratchet type and are approximately 225mm (9") long. These VTECT2 are approximately half inch shorter, but that does not appear to affect their efficiency in undertaking a good crimp. In fact as the jaw width is narrower you can actually see more clearly what you are doing and enables you to crimp only one terminal crimp tab at a time if required which I tend to do with these. One thing that I would say is to pay attention to the sizes that they can crimp which is stated in wire size. However this is not the whole story as many 6-8 mm ring terminals, and possibly others, even though within the wire size are usually made of thicker metal, and these are are unlikely to be sufficient to produce an acceptable crimp. My ratchet crimping pliers have the same issue. There are special crimping tools for those though they are more expensive. Really impressed with such an inexpensive tool and find that I am using more frequently than my other crimping tools for run of the mill cutting and crimping.
