I ordered this in lieu of the factory Tama one. I needed to cut the base shaft down and felt it better to do it on this vs my factory piece which is expensive to replace. I did it because I went to a Gibraltar stand and wanted to retain the setup coming out of the base drum, but since I am small I needed it super low. Meaning the shaft that would normally go inside the base drum would now be hitting the top. So I ground it off and used the Gibraltar clamp to mount to the stand. Works great!

This product is so cool! I have a white 80's Rockstar kit and this beefy, shiny, riser just makes it glow. I feel like I have stepped back in time. love it.
