Once you figure this thing out, and realize that it has USB c....this is amazing. Super easy foolproof loops, even if you have bad rhythm it'll make you sound at least like something and it's super easy to undo and erase .I recommend having it at arsm.length and running a Ctrl pedal on the floor for live performances but for straight coffee table top looping ...they thought of everything. Tough build quality, best value for money, functions super smooth and has never failed me..I should add- this is an always on, stereo pedal with screen so if you don't want to unplug constantly to save energy....maybe there are better options that have an on off switch? Because ...this doesn't turn off .that's the only caveat. Either way once you get used to the controls it's an amazing. To be honest this is also a NEVER ON THE FLOOR type looper. You 'could use it on the floor but the dials are also 'push buttons' they aren't going to take more than 50 accidental stomps before they start glitching out....so there is that. This is a song crafter or idea shaper pedal, it's easy to use and easy to add loops from your pc or whatever. The software is probably not amazing but...I'm sure it's easy to UL and DL files to and from and either way the loops on here are usable for again, ideas. You're never getting studio drums from a looper pedal that you'd use on a studio recording so it's irrelevant how 'good the samples are'

It looks like this same looper is offered under a few different brand names - same specs and knob/display layout, they just differ in the faceplate aesthetics.I got the "STRICH" brand mainly because I liked the industrial look of the black faceplate. If money is tight and you don't care about the look, then yeah, Amazon has a few different listings for this same looper branded under different names, and if you keep your eye out, you can save a good chunk when one goes on 'sale' or has a coupon offering.Anyway, I love this looper - It's stereo capable, so aside from guitar, you can also capture anything with a stereo output (synths, drum machines, etc).It runs on a standard 9 volt power pedal adapter (NO battery option), and the adapter is NOT included. It bums a lot of newbies out, but it's standard practice for pedal manufacturers to not include a power adapter. The construction feels pretty solid, though I will be giving the two upper knobs a good workout, so we'll see how well they hold up.The little display is crisp, colorful, and intuitive. You get forty 4 minute maximum recording slots. Personally, I would have rather had fewer slots with longer recording times, but it is what it is for a budget looper - 4 minutes maximum per slot. For practice, the drum feature is actually pretty nice - they included a bunch of different different styles of drum grooves AND several handy metronome options that sound (mostly) decent.Cooler still is that some of the grooves (and metronome beats) are presented in different time signatures, so if you want to experiment in something other than 4/4, you've got some options here.I was able to figure out much of this unit's operation without referring to the manual - it's really pretty easy to operate.Sound-wise, my test loops have been excellent. It's 24 bit - excellent fidelity for my needs, and infinite overdubbing is a blast.I don't plan on messing with the software - I've heard mixed opinions. The loops are stored in memory when the unit is turned off, so If I want to keep anything, I'll just archive it to a recorder hooked to my mixer.Great little budget looper pedal for most any musician, IMHOP. :)
