When I found out this was transcribed by Jordan Baker, I immediately jumped on it. I had bought previous Vai transcriptions done by others, and always found them lacking. Jordan is the best transcriptionist I've ever come across.

Libro stupendo con spartiti e tab ma solo per chitarristi esperti.

Product itself is great and fit for purpose. Unfortunately it was sent in a normal envelope and developed some warping in the mail - not enough to return....but enough to be frustrating on a book that costs this much and you find yourself having to turn your head in order to read the music.

It's so good to see how well transcribed were the songs in this anthology. I was aware of some of Jordan Baker's works with some of Dream Theater's songbooks in the past. There's even a small YouTube clip where John Petrucci talks about the "Black Clouds..." book. The book contains some of Vai's best material. I think this anthology represents his work good enough. On a personal note I would've preferred to include "The Animal", "Blue Powder", or "Erotic Nightmares" instead of "Touching Tongues".It was a different approach from Joe Satriani's Anthology released in 2003, because there it looks like the songs were taken from their respective released books, with different fonts. The songs look like they were completely transcribed from scratch for this anthology, and all the songs have the same font for the tabs. I don't see the point of the special tab symbols in the "Passion & Warfare" songbook, so, it was nice to look at these new transcriptions. Some of the songs in this anthology finally have the correct technique ("Building the Church" with two-hand tapping instead of pull-offs, or "Gravity Storm" with pre-bends instead of whammy bar...).If you want to learn Steve Vai's songs, this is a great place to start. Totally recomended!
