This Inspire 3D Scanner offers a decent level of accuracy, it's lightweight so not too uncomfortable to hold. Handheld scanning is pretty challenging though so using the tripod is better. It has a pretty quick scanning process meaning you can capture large areas quite quickly, or make several passes to get more fidelity. The software is quite user friendly, making post scan processing easy to understand. The scanner does need well-lit conditions as poor lighting will definitely cause problems with your scan. It's also worth picking up some scanning spray as reflective or glossy surfaces are a bit of a challenge, though this is the case with most consumer scanners. If you buy this expecting to have perfect 1:1 replicas of an object without any effort you will be disappointed. You will need to have patience, you will need to regularly recalibrate the scanner and you will need to know how to digitally edit a 3D mesh as there will be a need to do post processing work.If you manage your expectations and are willing to put in the work then the Inspire 3D is a solid offering from Revopoint.

Incredible piece of kit that literally includes everything you would need to start 3D scanning and taking a step up when it even comes to 3D design or 3D printing. It's basically a plug and play of course requiring software to get it going but then after it's as straight forward as the videos show, I will say in some aspects there is a potential learning curve to get everything bang on but patience is key when using this, it can also scan in colour but if you wanted to scan a person do be careful as it then turns into a strobe light which may cause some damage to your eyes depending on the sensitivity of them.Creating a model can easily be cleaned up in the software and a handy feature is it has a tracking mode for key features so you shouldn't really have any empty spots on the model you are making depending on what it is of course, I do like that a little model is included as a starting point to help get into using this as a little practice tool.Files can be exported directly to STL files for 3D printing which is fantastic if you wanted to just get straight into printing, or can be made into obj files for further tweaks depending on whatever is easier and other software you use for modelling.Would 100% recommend this for anybody big into 3D design or 3D printing its something that has definitely helped with models that I create and sell.
