I was a bit hesitant to buy a budget CarPlay radio from Amazon, especially with name-brand units being so much more expensive—but I’m very satisfied with this purchase.I installed it in my 2010 Audi A3 8P Sportback.Installation:The installation was mostly straightforward, though there were a couple of things to note. The radio only comes with two removal keys, but you'll need four to take out the stock unit—so plan to buy a separate set. If you want to mount the included microphone on your driver-side A-pillar, I also recommend having an 8mm socket on hand to remove the gauge cluster. It's not strictly necessary, but it makes routing the cable much easier.I placed the GPS antenna on the dashboard, right in front of the center speaker, and routed the cable through a gap near the HVAC light sensor. That worked great, but it should also be fine tucked behind the dash—the plastic shouldn’t block the signal. One important thing to note: if you want good radio reception, you’ll need to power the radio antenna adapter using a 12V supply for the bias tee. This isn't plug-and-play—you’ll need to solder it yourself. The radio does work without powering the antenna, but the FM signal is noticeably weaker.Aside from the removal keys, everything else was included. All the cables fit correctly, although figuring out where to plug everything in took a bit of trial and error. To be fair, the process would’ve been less confusing if I had read the manual first—but even then, the manual could definitely be clearer when it comes to the wiring. The only real installation challenge was figuring out where to place the two included USB ports. There isn’t a default or obvious location for them. I ended up 3D-printing adapters to mount them in the button cluster below the radio (next to the hazard switch), since I had a few blank slots there. If you don’t have access to a 3D printer, you might have some trouble figuring out where to put the ports. The cables aren’t long enough to reach the center armrest, and the way the glovebox is mounted makes routing them there difficult.CarPlay and Audio:The unit supports both wireless CarPlay and Android Auto (I can’t speak to Android Auto specifically, as I only use an iPhone). CarPlay works like a charm. After the initial pairing, the radio connects to my phone automatically as long as Bluetooth is enabled. CarPlay launches on its own once the connection is made—usually within a minute.Music streaming via CarPlay works well, with good audio quality. The physical media control buttons on the unit integrate nicely with CarPlay, which is a nice touch. I haven’t tested regular Bluetooth audio streaming. There is a slight audio delay—music playback via CarPlay has about 1–2 seconds of latency. Phone calls, however, have significantly less delay and work well. I haven’t tested video playback, as CarPlay doesn’t support it, but I would expect playback from Android apps on the unit itself to be in sync.Out of the box, the sound is just OK. It’s a bit flat, with muffled mids and overly bright highs. Fortunately, the unit includes a 16-band equalizer which is a great addition. There are also some DSP options, though I haven’t explored them much. There’s a separate bass-boost feature, but I found it a bit too aggressive. The front-rear balance setting doesn’t work properly in my car because the front and rear speakers share the same output line.Screen and Interface:The touchscreen is reasonably responsive—it feels similar to a mid-range Android tablet. It’s not super smooth, but perfectly usable. You can pick from several home screen themes, though in my opinion, they’re absolutely hideos—but that’s subjective.Screen brightness is decent. It can be a little hard to see in direct sunlight, and at night, even the minimum brightness is a bit too bright—but you can easily turn the screen off. It also dims automatically when the headlights are turned on, which helps. From a cold boot, the unit takes a few minutes to start, but when it’s in its power-saving/standby mode, it comes back up within a few seconds after turning on the ignition. The manual mentions split-screen multitasking, but I haven’t tested it yet.Navigation and On-Board Features:There is a preloaded Google Maps app, but it doesn’t work without internet connectivity. The manual includes a guide for loading offline maps into Google Maps, but I haven’t tried that. Alternatively, you could install a third-party offline navigation app. There’s also a GPS test app preinstalled, and from what I saw, the GPS receiver works well and gets a strong signal.Since this is essentially an Android tablet, you can install apps via the Play Store, assuming you connect it to a hotspot or local Wi-Fi. There’s no SD card slot, but the unit does have two USB ports. The unit also includes RCA outputs for front and rear channels and a subwoofer, along with video out, possibly for rear-seat screens. There are RCA inputs as well for AUX audio and a reversing camera.Reversing and Parking:The head unit automatically switches to the reversing camera when you go into reverse gear. You can configure it to mute or lower the volume when this happens, which is a nice touch. I don’t have a reversing camera installed yet, so I haven’t tested the video input directly. My car’s parking sensors still work fine, as they’re connected directly to the car’s speaker system and not dependent on the radio.Extra Features:The unit supports steering wheel controls, but I don’t have those installed in my car so I couldn’t test it.Wi-Fi works fine, and while I haven’t tested it, you might be able to connect a 4G modem using one of the USB ports. There’s no built-in cellular connectivity.I haven’t tried firmware updates, but it appears possible. The Android system seems fairly stock, and while there’s no root access out of the box, it might be rootable if that’s something you’re into.Final Thoughts:All in all, I think this unit offers great value for the price. It’s not a premium name-brand unit, but it covers all the essential features—and then some—and works surprisingly well. Installation requires a bit of patience, but the result is a very capable and modern head unit that transforms the driving experience. One thing to note for the installation - if you're not comfortable with removing panels and unscrewing the gauge cluster, you might want to get this installed professionally.

Schönes Radio funktioniert super, allerdings brauche ich noch einen Kabel für die hinteren Lautsprecher da diese nicht funktionieren.
