This is a strange little play set, which my kid did find entertaining when he first got it but then got quickly bored with. It might be more entertaining as part of a bigger set if your kid is playing pirates but it comes off a bit kinder egg/blind bag in design and quality. Would make a good stocking filler though.

I picked up the PIRATIX Golden Treasure Series – Captain Pack King Roar set for my son, and it’s been a big hit in our house. The set includes four figures (one of them a golden captain), a fortress, a cannon, two flags, two treasures, and a few accessories. It’s a nice starter pack for imaginative play, and the colourful design immediately caught his attention.The figures are small and well-suited for little hands. While they’re not the most detailed or high-quality, they’re engaging enough for kids to have fun. The golden captain is a standout, and my son loved launching the dart from the working cannon and locking up treasures in the little fortress. The accessories add a nice touch to the pirate adventure.I’d say this is good value for what’s included. However, I can see how this could get pricey if a child wants to collect all 60+ characters or hunt for the ultra-rare Golden Beard. The paintwork isn’t perfect, and the figures are fixed in position, but for a pocket-money toy, these are fun.It’s an affordable set that sparks imagination and works well as a gift or as part of a growing collection.

A little silly but very engaging.The toy is made out of plastic and has bright colours. This one, the “Captain King Roar," has a gold captain who looks really good.For £7.99, you get quite a lot in the set compared to other brands’ toys these days. It also has a lot of replayability through imaginative play. So, I would say it’s good value for money.I like that you can expand the sets over time and can stack them up, knocking them over with the cannon.In addition, this series of toys also includes pirate ships, which look even more fun.I can see this making a perfect gift for a child who loves pirates. The pirate world can then be expanded over other gifting events.Would recommend
