Not of a brand known to have been previously used but they appear to be similar in nature and surface texture to others currently used in A4 size but of the heavier 250 gsm weight (most of the smaller size are believed to be around 180-200 gsm). Some acetate and card covers were used in the past but current preference is now exclusively for PVC, PU or similar. This is the first instance that it has been necessary to obtain covers in A3 size, namely "PAVO Premium A3 Leather Grain Cover - White (Pack of 100) for a specific, out-of-the-ordinary task.In probability, only 12 or 14 will be used (one each front and back) although only six copies of a yet-to-be-printed document set are known to be needed; one may be created as a spare. Binding will either be by plastic comb or wire, probably the latter as that seems to be the preferred and most professional option appearance-wise of the two. It is unfortunate that a 20 or 25 pack was not an option as the remainder may not be needed any time soom.Other such covers, although in A4 size, have survived repeated handling, sometimes over several years, with both comb and wire bindings and with occasional use of comb sizes in excess of 50 mm; most have rarely exceeded 15 mm. The card and acetates generally did not survive quite so well and some of the more vital material was later re-covered and re-bound using PVC. Hopefully, these will also survive well into the future.
