After a few minutes it turned off and won’t turn back on.Tried charging it but still the same, won’t turn back on.

I took this tool out to a beast of a camera job i wasnt looking forward to, along with my $800 viewfinder tool, as well. While my overpriced, “do it all” viewfinder tool said 1100’ of wiring was ok, this tool caught the true story! This tool was precise on distance, and even easily caught where my break was in an underground run of Cat5e, saving me at least 3hrs of needless wire pulling. It also showed a SPLIT PAIR error, on a separate wire, once again saving me even more time. This tool paid itself off on that one job💯. This is a great tool to have in your arsenal, if network troubleshooting is what you do! Go get you one!

I needed this for the TDR function for a job. It worked when I first received it for that job. I didn’t use it again for a couple months and when I tried to use it it gives random information on shorts, wire lengths, etc. it’s completely useless. Don’t waste your money.

Works well overall, but the carry case is really flimsy and cheap. And the unit does not have a basic auto shut off feature. So if you leave it on by accident, or it gets accidentally turned on in your tool box, which happened to me twice already, it drains the battery to nothing. And it's rechargeable only, so can't put new batteries in and when on site and need it now, you have no way to get it going.
