The microscope does the job, but not without struggle... too flimsy (since it doesn't have an anti slip base), constantly moving out of place, the lens and the plates too, which is annoying and makes observation difficult. The magnification lens also don't allow for a lot of detail as I would expect, also the LED light is too strong and hurts my eyes even if dimmed.. I wouldn't recommend it. You're better off investing a little more for a more sturdy one. Just my 2 cents.

Très pédagogique et simple d’utilisation, mon enfant s’amuse beaucoup à découvrir le monde grâce au microscope

Very light weight so moves a little to easily but for the price it is a very good starter. Good magnification, good light choices.

My daughter loved this! And immediately opened and started to collect specimens and wanted to go outside to collect items - we were able to adjust specs and honestly, it was a refreshing product. Definitely recommend will not the most sturdy in terms of legit microscope it works just fine for a kid.

My expectations weren’t too high for this product. But it just seems so cheaply made in my opinion. It’s all made of plastic, even the slides. It wouldn’t give me the experience I wanted for my kid if I were to use this for educational purposes. It’s very difficult to see through the hole, and it doesn’t zoom in all that much. I’m talking about if you were hoping to see things on a cellular level, you will not get to see that with this.I think this would be great if you’re just getting this for a kid who just happens to have an interest on experimenting and science. Or if they just want something to pretend play with. For educational experience, you probably want to invest in something for expensive if you want that powerful microscope that can help your child see things on a cellular level.

I got this for my grandkids. The biggest problem is that it doesn’t come with any instructions or teaching materials. That will have to be a separate purchase. You will also need to buy two AA batteries for the light source. The microscope is made of a durable plastic and has many features that I wish I had when I was a kid. Instead of mirrors for lighting, it comes with a dimmable LED light source that allows me to precisely adjust the lighting for what I’m looking at. It has a 4x eyepiece and the optics can be changed between 400x, 1000x and 1200x. All magnification levels produce clear images. It has a set of specimen slides that have small depressions for holding what I want to look at. However there is no top slide to hold the specimens in place. It comes with one test slide that has what looks to be fiberglass in it.It also has two cheap plastic collection bottles and pair of plastic tweezers.Given the clarity of the optics for the price of the microscope, this is a good buy.
