After more than a year of having orbi router and 2 satellites, I can say the worst wifi router experience.HW keeps on hanging. Software doesn't recognize login, and I regularly need to reset. The app keeps kicking me out saying forbidden access. Multiple login accounts to manage. Netgear website doesn't recognize my order (purchased from amazon). Support ignore my request to associate my device. Security is payed with annual subscription. Unfortunately the entire experience is bad. Absolutely rip off.

The dream - is fast, solid, stable WI-FI in every room, with not much messing about during setup, and no need to switch from network to network. You are thinking to yourself "I want to just go up and down stairs, out to the shed, down the garden and in the garage on my WI-FI network. I Just want to connect and not think about it" - Well YES, this product will do that.Its fast, and once its working (read on) its really solid, sometimes my devices choose a weird base point to join, so for example, a printer in my office (next to an access point) has decided to connect to the living room base point which is a long way away ... it works its just odd? Can I change the default base station for a device ? No.I do like the guest network settings, so if you have a cafe, or B&B and you want to use EPOS and "private" devices such as laptops, tablets, Sonos speakers for example, then the private network is perfect. Then you can simply create another "guest" network with a different password and give different access to people.The setup was great - (but there is a down side so read on) - This system uses a wizard to set you up, it works and it took the pain out of it. BUT. a big BUT... If you want to play Jazz with it, like fiddle with settings, or do some pro setup of your network then you are going to be disappointed. It does it one way and that it... It works perfectly (mostly) but it's very restricted.Something that is REALLY GOOD, is the switch handling - So I have a load of devices, like Philips Hue, Smartthings, Hive heating, NAS storage boxes, Sonos devices, and the all need a base station type connections somewhere. With a Cable to a router somewhere. So buy a cheap Netgear (or whatever) un-managed switch like "NETGEAR 8 Port Gigabit Network Switch GS108 £25 on Amazon" and just plug everything in, then connect it to a single Ethernet port on the ORBI base station - and wow wow wow it just all works. If you want to tinker and play jazz (read on) you can't - it works but there is no controls you to touch - that might sound like heaven or hell depending on your skill level !It is very restricted to "home users" with kids... The safety settings, and internet restrictions are powerful but pointless if you just trust your family or want "normal" internet. I turned on Parental controls by accident, and when I tried to turn it off I managed to lock everyone (including myself) out of the internet. Support gave me nothing useful (using my phone 3g to access) so in the end I did a hardware reset to factory setting and started all over again. Painful day that was....Not sure I like the Rewards feature of the parental controls - granting "internet time rewards" for good behaviour sound like a house I would not like to grow up in.... but I am old and have no children so I will let you be the judge of this feature.Here is the BIG negative. - Netgear I expected better. - This system is basically only compatible with itself. There are lots and lots of NETGEAR ORBI models and kits, too many to count, and basically they all do the same thing - some faster, some with more concurrent connections, newer models with more whizzy stuff but in principal all doing the same job. EACH SYSTEM IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE OTHER - RBK752, RBK762 base stations and extension points will not work with other Netgear Obi systems - you have to have the exact model from a look up table on Netgears website to extend the system. That has got to be deliberate !I only found out this when I purchased an extra pair of satellite range extenders which looked identical but were not compatible - I Had to return them. BAD NEWS - I could not buy single or even (at the time) double satellites that were compatible with my existing ORBI system- even though it was pretty new, so after only 9 months, even though nothing was faulty with them at all, I had to but this system again NEW because it was the only way to get my hands on compatible satellites to extend the range. BOOoo Netgear.For a system that is supposed to be fully extendable, and totally "capable" of connecting everything together, that's is job at the end of the day, I fail to see why NETGEAR have chosen to build in incompatibility into their systems with no way to join or extend freely from the range.With the benefit of hind site - I should have just paid a lot less for a mesh network, I don't know how much better this is for the money, but I help a friend set up a DecoAX3000 the other day and it was brilliant, at a quarter of the cost. I don't expect that to last a lifetime but I can buy one every two years for a decade for the price of the ORBI !

Éste sistema wifi mesh de alta velocidad es de lo mejor que hay. He tenido otros sistemas de otras marcas de wifi mesh pero no daban tanta cobertura y velocidad.El router y los satélites son algo grandes, quizás menos estéticos que los sistemas pequeños, pero dan mejor cobertura y más velocidad, que es de lo que se trata.La instalación es muy sencilla. Se coloca el router con cable al router principal y después se distribuyen los satélites por la casa. Yo temgo el router en una punta de la casa, no lo puedo poner en el centro. Los satélites los tengo a una distancia de unos 8/10 metros lineales uno de otro. Tengo 600 mb contratados y me llega una velocidad por encima de 500 mb conectando un cable Rj 45 a los satélites y por encima de 200 mb por wifi en el lugar más alejado. Para instalarlo es muy fácil, te bajas la app de Orbi y paso a paso te va indicando los pasos a seguir, todo en castellano.Puedes conectarte al sistema por wifi desde fuera de casa para ver si está funcionando bien y las conexiones que tienes funcionando en tiempo real. También está la opción de red para invitados, crea una nueva red wifi en la que puedes poner otra contraseña diferente a la “principal” y el tiempo que quieres que esté activa.Tengo conectado un NAS Synology a uno de los satélites. Al principio tuve poblemas de conexión porque no lo reconocía pero después de resetearlo y volver a cargar el sistema DSM, ahora reconoce la nueva IP que genera el sistema de forma automática y ya me funciona en red, solucionado.En resumen, mi experiencia por el momento es muy buena, lo recomiendo. Si te lo puedes permitir tendrás una buena solución de cobertura wifi a alta velocidad para toda la casa

Contexto:Venía de un par de ASUS Mesh también y últimamente tenía muchos problemas. Cortes en la conexión, saturación de red y el sistema Mesh nunca llegaba a tener buena cobertura del todo (eran routers de dos bandas sólo y WiFi 5), en el piso de arriba más o menos tenía unos 150Mbps de los 600 contratados.He alucinado cuando he conectado los Orbi y he visto que en el piso de arriba ahora tengo velocidades de 500/600Mbps (bajada/subida), prácticamente la misma velocidad que en el piso inferior aún estando el router principal y el nodo conectados por WiFi, pero la tribanda hace maravillas, no satura la red 5Ghz ni la 2.4Ghz ya que se comunican con su própia red (a diferéncia de los ASUS que tenía antes).El diseño de los aparatos es bastante bonito y no quedan mal puestos encima de cualquier mueble, por otro lado son grandotes pero tampoco nada exagerado (en fotos y vídeos parecen más grandes de lo que son en realidad).Con estos puede haber una persona viendo streaming en 4K en la TV mientras otra persona está viendo otros servícios de streaming sin problemas. Incluso en las videollamadas he notado una mejora abismal, antes normalmente el vídeo llegaba comprimido y ahora la gente me comenta que se ve perfecto siempre, casi sin compresión.En general una pasada, super contento con ellos y pese a que el precio tira para atrás, compensa totalmente.PROS- Diseño bonito y tamaño decente- Fáciles de configurar vía APP- El sistema Mesh es increíble, aún en dos pisos diferentes prácticamente llega el 100% arriba.- WiFi 6 (para dispositivos compatibles)- Sólo una red SSID para ambas bandas (2.4/5), el dispositivo se conecta a la mejor automáticamente.CONS- El precio, son caros pero como digo, aún así merecen la pena- La interfaz web no es nada del otro mundo, comparado con la app se ve un poco anticuadoSi tenéis problemas de cobertura WiFi, probad estos bichos, no os arrepentiréis.

El producto es perfecto, se conecta bastante fácil y cumple con lo que anuncia, en mi iphone 12 pro he pasado de tener una velocidad de 30-40mbps a tener 300-400, en el peor punto de la casa, sigo teniendo una velocidad más que aceptable. Otro punto que me ha gustado es que tengo la tele de movistar y con este sistema, ahora tengo el deco conectado a uno de estos repetidores y funcionando perfectamente (cosa que no conseguí de ninguna forma con otros sistemas wifi mesh - tenda nova mw6).Pros: - wifi de alta velocidad - más de 40 dispositivos conectados y funcionando sin problemas - son bonitos y no desdicen con el resto del mobiliario - he conseguido conectar el deco de movistar por wifi. - videollamadas con cero cortes - me muevo de una estancia a otra de la casa sin perder en ningún momento cobertura wifiContras: - el precio es algo exagerado aunque la verdad es que estoy muy contento con su funcionamiento - el tamaño de cada aparato es un pelin grande
