It is strong enough to stay where it's put but easy to adjust.The small size allows it to be positioned close to the job.The only down side is it is quite expensive.

I ordered this item but sadly I had a problem keeping the dial indicator and also fastening on the arm, sometimes the dial indicator just fell, and as you know Mitutoyo dial indicators are expensive. I am sure that I could fix it by my self, but I preferred to return it after a month and 2 days, I wanted a perfect item. Amazon was very very helpful and returned it on their costs, then I waited for another good offer and buy it again. All my measuring instruments are Mitutoyo and I am very satisfied about the quality of them. This specific Item si made in Japan. Be careful to fasten very well the screw that holds together the indicator and also the position on the arm. It is very useful in small spaces and there are very few options on the market for this size. I use it on Proxxon MF70 and also on Proxxon TBM200, both with Proxxon KT70 and vices.
