Personal bias disclosure, I have been a massive effect fan since I first played Mass Effect 1.When I state this is the Star Wars of video games, I am not building hyperbole. The original triology and the thematic arc of Mass Effect are near similar. The 1st a bold, optomistic space opera. The 2nd a dark tale of foreboding evil linked by in deptj studies into characters and more. The 3rd expanding on both but never matching the 1st and 2nd parts, though somehow satisfying.So why get this?If you have never played Mass Effect then just buy it. If you like RPGs, solo play, and a damn good story, just buy the darn game.If you, like me have played it all before, the graphics, gameplay and guns have all been vastly improved. BIOWARE have thrown everything they could into the game, all DLC, all expansions (except 1 peice of garbage they "lost") and all you have lost is long loading screens or tooooooooo much time in elevatorsPlease buy this, show them all we want games that are not constant grinds for negliable rewards. A game were you don't pay to win. A game based on story not repetition.

I grew up with these games. I played them... a lot.The new games are definitely an improvement. I.m about half way through ME2 after completing ME1 and can honestly say it is a major improvement on the originals. ME1 the most dated of the games gets a really good facelift and the guns/action is much improved. I still noticed a few bugs but it didnt hamper my gameplay.ME2 pretty much the same as above. The fact that all the DLC content is included too , is another bonus.The most striking part which tells you how much work has gone into the game is the photo/screenshot function. Some of the photos are simply magnificent.I see the multiplayer is missing on ME3 but apparently this is being worked on. There is still a quite hardcore of players that still use this from the original format, will be good when that arrives.For a nostalgic 3 game adventure with well over 150 - 200hours of gameplay for £50 . Well worth it.
