Received a broken string even though it was well packaged. Open your strings immediately upon receipt because the outer package was fine but it looked like it went through a roller, the ball end was caught and the string was stretched and ripped.

Lovely mellow sound that projects well. So far no concern with string breaking. Fingers crossed.

I'm an intermediate level cello player. This A string made a huge difference to my playing - mellow and full in tone. A great improvement on the two very tinny A strings I had already tried. Expensive but worth it.Update 16th March - this string broke after only two weeks! I was on holiday for a week, sat down to play this morning, drew the bow across the string to check the tuning, and Bang!
