I use Lamy Safari and AlStars for drawing and have always found their nibs to be a bit hit and miss - I only use the broad nibs and out of every handful that I buy I'll find one that works the best, doesn't block, doesn't feel gritty on the page etc. When they're good they're great but when they're temperamental, they're a nightmare.I've tried the Z53 because it promised a smooth writing experience, which I assume translates to a smooth drawing experience. Having just received, I've mounted it to an Alstar and it does indeed provide a smooth action and smooth line. Although a broad nib, the line is noticeably finer than its standard broad nib counterpart - but this might open up with use.Very happy with the smooth action, smooth line and that it flowed instantly without issue.Line could be bolder.**Amended from 4 to 5 stars, 6/10/23 - few days after purchase.Nib has already opened up a little, is producing juicy, consistent lines and is a pleasure to draw with. It may open up a little more, it may not, but I'm happy and will order more for some of my other Lamy pens.

Bis jetzt für mich die besste Feder von Lamy. Super Schreibgefühl. ist natürlich bei jedem anders aber für meineHandschrift genau richtig.
