great for accurate and precise imput with your devicemuch more hygienic than keep touching your screen dirtying the screencharges fast - no problem with thatdoesn't work with all devices although it is compatible with my surface laptop perfect!

I got this for my daughter to use on her Surface Pro 5 as her original pen had died. It's much cheaper than the official pen, which is currently around £69.99, versus £33.99 for this one. This is priced around the same as most "unofficial" Surface pens, when tend to hover around the £30 mark.There was no need to pair this with her device, it just started working straight away. The eraser is not on the end but is instead accessed via a button on the side, which is slightly less intuitive than the standard pen, but she got used to it quickly enough.As she has an older Surface Pro, she can use the included short USB A charging cable to charge it directly from the device when not in use, but note that newer Surface devices do not have USB A ports so that won't work for those models. Any cable with at least one USB C end will work for charging purposes though. We much prefer the rechargeable aspect of this pen, compared to the non-rechargeable AAAA batteries that the official pens use. The charge lasts ages as you'd expect, and there is an indicator light on the unit which shows red when charge is low and changes to blue when it is full. The pen also has a power saving mode, shutting down after 10 minutes of inactivity.It also comes with several replacement tips for when the original one starts to wear out, which is a nice touch and indicates that the device is intended to last a decent amount of time.Overall, we've been very happy with this so far, hopefully she will get several years of use out of it.

After a quick press of the button this pen connected immediately and worked straight out of the box which was great, no syncing process necessary. Accuracy is great with negligible delay and it has a nice weight and feel to it making it comfortable to use for prolonged periods. Unlike some third party pens this one includes the magnets to store on the side of the Surface Pro. The battery seems to be lasting well and doesn’t take long at all to recharge with the included short USB-A to USB-C cable.The genuine Microsoft pen may have a slightly more premium feel to it, but this pen is a good value alternative with the bonus of being rechargeable.
