.125" dia individually packaged Aluminum rod. The diameter is consistent across the length. The ends are cut clean, but not perfectly. The few I bought are within .020" of 12" length. Manufacturer lists it as 6061 - I have not bent mine and assuming that is accurate you should not buy this for bending. Easy to cut and work with otherwise.

I couldn’t get it to attach as is, so I wrapped it in copper foil and tinned it before attaching to the stained glass sailboat, and that worked great 👍

Then some of you might notice that the bar for the lid's hinge (shown in the attached picture) can slowly migrate then fall out. I bought one of these cases for a co-worker and they were "too busy" to notice and push the bar back into place. Of course, they tasked me to fix it. This bar does the trick. 1/8" fits just fine though you will have to cut it to size and make sure to file down the rough edge.

I needed to make a new handle for something and this worked perfect. Soft enough to bend, yet sturdy enough to hold up to every day use.
