As someone who's terminated ethernet cables for a couple decades, but not quite often enough for it to become a get it right the first time every time kind of thing, these have been amazing. I'm very used to the old way of doing things. Strip the jacket, and then use those calloused fingers to separate the conductors to go through the endless cycle of straighten, align, cut, try to get it into the RJ45 just right, nope, do it all again, second time's a charm?, perhaps, try again.I bought these for a new data center deployment where I wanted custom length ethernet patches to make things super clean. I terminated probably 75 cables this past week. I only had to make a second attempt perhaps two or three times, and 100% of the cables tested fine once crimped. It was such an amazing time saver, and made for super clean termination with barely any resulting untwisted sections of cables before the pins, so I'm sure they'd meet spec for longer distances than cables I'd have made previously.

Why have I been using old style RJ's for so long!!? I could spend 5-10 minutes using old style RJ's stuffing around getting the length right etc only to find I have a mis-wire, work out which end is mis-wired, chop it and start again. Now no guessing and I smash out a perfect RJ connection in 2 min.

These are excellent connectors. I have tried them on interior utp cat5e and they hold the jacket well and the pins crimp well to the wires. I also tested these on exterior ftp cat 5e. They are also very good there. I never have any problem getting the wires to push through the connector. I've never had a failed crimp with these. As well I tested the cat 6 version on these two cables and they were perfect as well. Excellent speed through these.
