La promesse de la qualité 4K en 3D est vite réduite à néant quand vous regardez au travers d’un simili Google cardboard un petit écran de piètre qualité. L’emballage est très qualitatif. L’image est pixelisée. Il n’y a aucun réglage dioptrique sur le viseur. La finition satinée de l’appareil est fragile (même les ongles peuvent marquer le revêtement .., pour dire). … bref, merci Amazon pour accepter le retour.

Ma première appréciation de cet appareil (voir ci-dessous) était déjà élogieuse, et je lui avais accordé 4 étoiles. A l'usage, je lui ai remis une 5ème étoile car, finalement, le Kandeo est très performant en basse lumière, et, après la mise à jour du firmware, il délivre des fichiers RAW DNG en plus du JPEG, ce qui permet de retoucher les images sous Photoshop Elements avec le plug-in Camera RAW.Je pensais acheter un gadget, certes relativement performant, mais je suis en présence d'un appareil plutôt sérieux.Voici ce que j'écrivais précédemment:"Je pratique occasionnellement la photo stéréoscopique depuis une vingtaine d'années. J'utilise aujourd'hui un Fujifilm Finepix Real 3 D W3, mais auparavant, j'avais utilisé un objectif Loreo pour reflex et un Sony Bloogie 3D. J'ai craqué pour le Kandeo pour la possibilité de visionner les images 3D immédiatement et correctement grâce à la visionneuse intégrée, chose impossible avec les autres appareils (malgré l'écran 3D), pour le plus grand bonheur de mes petits enfants qui découvrent ainsi la 3D.Première bonne surprise à la réception de l'appareil, la qualité de fabrication et l'impression de solidité. Seconde bonne surprise, la qualité d'image très correcte. De plus, l'appareil, bien que dépourvu de flash, donne des images correctement exposées en basse lumière. Et pour finir, il est traité contre les projections d'eau, donc utilisable sous la pluie.Mais tout n'est jamais parfait. le gros point noir est l'autonomie. Il consomme la batterie très rapidement. Enfin, les menus sont soit en chinois, en japonais ou en anglais, mais pas en français. De même pour le mode d'emploi. Cependant, en téléchargeant l'application Kandeo, on dispose d'un tutoriel en vidéo, certes en anglais, mais assez explicite pour apprendre à l'utiliser. De plus, en cherchant sur le Net, j'ai finalement trouvé des informations en français.En conclusion, l'appareil donne de bonnes images, la visionneuse intégrée est un plus. Mais en revanche, ne compter pas partir en longue randonnée avec, à moins de vous munir d'une valise pleine de batteries de rechange. D'autre part, en cas d'utilisation un peu soutenue, l'appareil va chauffer et se mettre en sécurité.Encore une chose : à réception de l'appareil, connecter le à Internet via votre smartphone pour télécharge et installer le dernier firmware."

You don't buy this if you want a state of the art bridge camera with all the bells and whistles, you buy this to take very good 3D photos and video. And for that task the camera is good.There is no zoom, no autofocus, no lens cover (that's one thing I would like for it, a lens cover) and no real manual settings.Zoom isn't really needed on a 3D camera, and while autofocus would be nice you do get a selection of focus options that change the focus from close to far away.Despite some reviews on here, and from photography blogs, saying that no autofocus results in mainly blurry useless pictures I haven't found this to be the case.Yes you will definitely take some pictures where you get the focus setting wrong and it results in a blurry image but you learn pretty quickly how to judge which focus to use and the guide on the LCD viewfinder is very useful with this as it tells you (in centimeters and feet for those in the UK) how far away the selected focus is.Just take a few photographs at different focus lengths when you first use the camera and you'll quickly get used to which focus option is right for the shot you want to take. You don't need to go into a menu to change the focus either, it's literally a button press so it's very easy to do and easy to get used to.Is this as convenient as most digital cameras are, is it point and shoot? No, but it isn't meant to be.If you want a quality 3D camera that will produce good results this is literally the best camera out there unless you have enough money for top of the line 3D movie cameras that is.It takes twenty seconds to start up from being switched off, and the user interface is a tiny bit slower than most modern cameras, it's mildly irritating until you get used to it but it's not a big issue and the camera will do exactly what you buy it for....take good 3D photographs and videos.It's small and portable and the snap on 3D viewer really does give you a good idea what your 3D media will look like.Battery life is not great so maybe buy the option that comes with a second battery and external charger, if you don't see such an option listed on Amazon just go to the camera makers Amazon page and you'll find it as a separate listing.It should last about about an hour, my first time using it I took 92 photos and a video over the course of about an hour and a half and had around 34% battery left but was turning it off between each set of shots to conserve battery power.Is it perfect? No. Is it a very good 3D camera? Yes. Is it expensive? Not really when you consider that there's really nothing else like this at the moment, and it isn't much more expensive than many non 3D cameras.Overall a decent camera. A very good 3D camera and worth the money if you can look past it's lack of features and just want good 3D.
