This is a super little phaser, however it is a deep phase pedal. That means it is deep phase, and with certain types of distortion pedals, it doesn't sound very good. It can produce raspy undertones, but it is a deep phase pedal. For clean tones it is very good. Personally I prefer the normal MXR mini phase pedal but that is just me. If you want a DEEP phase, then this is great.

This is a very clean, dynamic phaser that I actually like more on bass than guitar.My favorite guitar phaser is my EHX Bad Stone, which is actually noisier and less clean but just has a cool chewy vibe.
