Sadly doesn’t work with an HP laptop or any laptop for that matter. Doesn’t connect screens, no matter what cable you’re using.

I purchased this item as a refurbished product, yet it appeared brand new, arriving in a clean and well-packaged condition. Its performance matches that of a new one, i originally i bought. I acquired it to eliminate the need to transport docking stations to multiple locations.
