The solution on these envelopes are titling 10.0 pH instead of 7.1. I am stock with 24, and cannot calibrate my Hanna device.

Accurate results for calibrating pH meter. Advice: Make sure the buffer packet is at the same temperature of your sample. Most cheaper meters need to be re-calibrated due to temperature change, and if your test buffer solution is not at the same temp as your sample, the results can be way off. More expensive pH meters have temperature compensation built in.

I choose Hanna because is a brand that gives you what you pay. Using 20ml sachets, will guarantee that the solution maintain its original ph, and it is not altered by oxygen. Calibrating with the correct ph will give you a correct reading. The expiration date of the product is far way long. The expiration date of the product I bought is in 4 years more!!!

As a retired chemistry teacher, this is the buffer I used in the lab. Since I am an aquarium keeper, I was glad to see this available for calibrating my home pH probe. It can also be used as a standard solution when calibrating ph color solutions such as bromothymol blue and phenol red. Use several drops of this buffer solution in 10ml distilled water, add the BTB or PR and you have a nice reference color set at exactly pH 7.0.

While buying individual packets of solution is more expensive than buying a bottle, it is sure convenient to use. I always feel confident that my solution is good when using the individual packets.
