It's a decent shoehorn, but the problem is the actual horn is on a spring, which means if you have a rather tight fitting shoe or slipper it applies almost no pressure to push back against the rear of the shoe to get your foot in. In my case I'm trying to use it for Ugg slippers that fit perfectly but are hard to get on, and the sides are very foldable/collapsible, as would not be the case with a hard shoe, for example.
