Impressed with this product, with my previous shredder it would usually stop after a number of sheets, but this one did a whole batch without any gremlins at all. I would suggest buying sharpening sheets to keep it working well, I am surprised the manufactures didn't include a sample number of sheets in the box, I think that would be a good idea. If I hadn't been using shredders for many years I would not be aware you needed to sharpen it.

A good device - decent price. Copes well with everything we throw at it - including plastic cards. We only use it in a domestic environment to shred stuff with personal details before throwing out. It cuts everything up very small! We never bother to remove staples, but we do use shredder oil every now and then to extend its useful life.A good buy.

This is easy to set up and use, works well on different things and shreds really small, I use a clear bag in the base so we can recycle it when full. We use it for all addressed objects. the down side for us is it doesn't last as long shredding as our old one and seems to take some time to recharge to be able to use it again. The price was reasonable .

I could not get my previous model so had to order this one. The one/off button feels a bit flimsy but works OK.

It appears to work quite well, which is a relief considering some of the reviews out there. As others have said, trying 8 sheets at a time is not recommended, however it probably means it is more powerful than the 6C, which can nominally only handle 6 and is about the same price. It also has a two year guarantee, as opposed to the one year the 6C has.I shredded about a ream and a half of old bank statements in two sessions and I’m pleased to say it didn’t overheat once. I mostly fed the pages one or two at a time because there are two important things to watch for:Do NOT let the bin get full or it will back up into the shredder and block it. Give it an occasional shake to compact the paper shreds. Also, watch for strands getting wrapped round the cutting blades. If this happens, check there is no build up on the under side. Press reverse for a couple of seconds - this seems to loosen them, then ‘tease’ the shredder with a new sheet by putting it in enough to activate the mechanism but not far enough for it to take the sheet. This should be enough to clear the blades. Two final things: There may be a piece or two of shredded paper in the box. This doesn’t mean it is a returned item. There is a note in the box that explains that the units are tested in the factory and that paper shreds may be present. Lastly, the box itself is a bit feeble. If buying from Amazon, you should see a tick box that says something like ‘this box reveals what’s inside. Tick here to have it packed in another box.’ Choose this option to prevent accidental damage in transit.
