The spring puts tension on the idler pulley which drives the deck belt.Without the spring, your blades won't turn, rendering your machine useless.The kit came with 2 identical springs, great, now I have a spare for the next time the spring breaks.Time to get the order was as anticipated and on time.Good price also.
