These are made of a sturdy plastic. They hold several tubes and keep them steady. They are easy to clean by soaking if needed and putting them in the dishwasher. I have a kid that is becoming a kitchen scientist. I have not used these in a professional lab situation. They are working great for holding basic tubes and home use. I have also found that they hold small items so they don’t get lost while doing a project.

I got this for use in the lab and so far it is working out well. The bottom has smaller holes for 0.5 mL tubes while the top has larger holes for 1.5 and 2 mL microfuge tubes. The material is easy to clean with soap and water or 70% EtOH. The description doesn't seem to mention whether or not it's safe to autoclave. I have not tried autoclaving them and probably won't, since they're not being used for microbial work. Either way good inexpensive tube racks for an academic lab. Thank you!
