Yeah, not a bass pedal. No clean blend. But for low gain edge of breakup it's really good for the money. With the eq set at 2 to 3 o'clock it's also pretty close to transparent.

Suono caldo, ottimo pedale anche per il basso. Imita in maniera soddisfacente il suono valvolare, e trovo il pedale davvero utile in svariate situazioni.

This is a great pedal for stacking at the end of your overdrive/distortion chain. If you play solid state amps, distortion pedals like the digitech hot head (sorta like a boss ds-1 with a bass control) may be a bit thin and trebly, but if you run the HH into the Hot Tubes the sound is thickened and has more punch. I find the Hot Tubes best for this application. When you first purchase it you might be disappointed because it's not like a Big Muff or a typical overdrive pedal; it actually doesn't start to have obvious distortion until well past 12 o'clock. But once it gets there it is a wall of dirty sound. But that's just another application for it. It can also act as a clean boost. I think it's best to think of this pedal as a jackknife. Trashy distortion, clean boost, or fattener for solid state amp. If you like it for one of those applications, keep it, and you may find it useful for the other applications down the road. I'm thinking about buying another one so I can stack two in series. It worked for the double muff, why not a double Hot Tubes?

Cette réedition était très très attendu. Je l'ai donc acheté et je ne suis vraiment pas décu.A ce prix, c'est un must à avoir si on aime les son overdrive-fuzz.C'est la pédale d'overdrive la plus versatile que j'ai. L'overdrive au minimun, on a un son clean boost assez accoustique, l'overdrive à onze heure, on a un son Marshallien. A midi, on bascule dans le son Americain Fender Deluxe 57 et à partir de 16H, c'est un overdrive plus de sustain assez californien type Mesa proche du Fuzz.Le plus surprenant, c'est le boost via le bouton de volume qui est puissant et assez propre (pas de boost brouillon), mon volume de l'ampli est proche du zero, c'est déjà fort et propre.Par contre, au niveau overdrive pur, je préfère ma X-drive de chez biyang un peu plus chaud : un niveau de compression plus naturel et plus proche d'une compression naturelle d'un ampli à lampe.Elle ne remplacera pas mon overdrive X-Drive ou ma fuzz (FZ-7) qui sont plus chaleureuse mais pour avoir un son drive plus americain, c'est elle que je prendrerai.
