I am so happy with this book. It is perfect for the beginner. It has each song setup 3 times.1. easily explained tab… which also tells you which fingers to use.2. Notes on a regular staff, but the note letter is visible inside the note.3. Regular sheet music style.The book explains 3 keys. Each key has a warm up and explanation of the keys on cello.20 popular songs. Big print. Easy to read. This is the best beginner book I’ve found so far. !!

Bought because the Christmas carols (for cello) are all in first position so great for beginners. I have played a couple of them so can confirm that they are good for beginners.My only niggle is that the book's spine doesn't allow the book to lie flat so I have to manoeuvre my music stands clips etc to hold the pages open.
