These are great snips, very sharp, versatile and well made. I use these snips for a variety of tasks, such as pruning vegetation, trimming sheep hooves, and fishing. They aren't bulky or heavy and I haven't found better pair anywhere near their price point.

I bought this snip two years ago for tending to my garden flowers. It has a comfortable grip and cuts well. Of course, I've been maintaining it regularly.

Corona looks great when new but their steel rusts quickly if you get it wet, not like some others that might still rust but not right away. The ergonomics aren’t good either.

As a berry farmer, over the years I've owned a number of small to medium clippers and have always gravitated toward the quality of Corona's stainless steel line. The Corona AG 4940SS (stainless steel with curved tip) is an absolute winner for serious gardeners and small fruit production workers. This product is apparently made in Taiwan.Primary uses--pruning grape vines; blueberry, raspberry, and rose bushes; and a variety of flowers and garden plants. A great all-around unit for nursery and garden applications.Pros--Solid stainless steel construction. Molded hand grips. Good quality spring. The 3.5" handles are a good fit for most small to medium-sized hands. The tips on the curved unit are more tapered than those on the straight-tip version. The 2" blades hold a good edge and give you a working cut surface of just over 1.5". While it's not a replacement for bypass-clipper situations, the tool is not intimidated by small soft wood branches.Cons--Closure device is a black strap attached to the bottom of the unit. It can get in the way and you are likely to eventually replace it with a hefty rubber band. Corona markets a "holster" for these units but mine usually wind up in my hip pocket (so I do like the blades to stay closed lest something unintened gets clipped). If You Buy--Three hints. First, its unlikely you'll find them at most big box or discount stores. Second, if you are buying online, try to buy two or more items to soften the impact of shipping costs. Third, consider buying the sharpening device Corona makes (puts on a sharp edge and can even be used for other small blades like box cutters).I'd advise keeping it lubricated with a non-toxic lubricant like silicon-free Slipit if you are working around vegetables and fruits.Corona's AG 4940 and it's straight blade companion AG 4930 are versatile units with a highly respectable service life.
