Definitely glad I bought a replacement.Was a tad unsure if I really needed it till I tried it went from my old battery barely lasting (later realised its expired) to this one lasting the full day with nearly any energy usage when I checked the power later on.

I charged this (didn’t take more than a few hours although I don’t know exactly how long as I wasn’t paying attention), put it in my Canon Rebel camera, and my camera works and shows full battery life. So far appears to be the genuine Canon product. Can’t speak to battery life yet but I’m happy with it at present.
