This HDD cable is tiny, at first I thought it would be too short to connect to my 2.5 inch Western Digital internal hard disk but in fact the fit is perfect. I fed the cable underneath the plastic housing next to the jsata connector which makes for a tidier and neater fit. And don't worry if you haven't got a caddy, you'll notice that the drive sits naturally in place on the flat plastic base and I just used a small double sided sticky pad to fix it securely. In fact, if you will not be moving the laptop around too much you could even just use Blu Tack or any household tape to keep it in place.The laptop booted fine first time and the HDD was recognised as a second drive alongside the existing NVMe SDD in the M2 slot. This adds very useful extra storage space in the laptop and enabled me to reuse an old 500GB drive that otherwise would be sitting idle in storage.
