This basic PC is a solid choice for everyday tasks such as web browsing, email, and word processing. While it’s not built for gaming or heavy multitasking, it performs well for basic activities. The design is compact and functional, and the system runs smoothly with light workloads. Delivered on time.

This is a fantastic laptop for the price. Works great for web browsing, emails and watching videos. I find myself using it when I need a dedicated keyboard/mouse and Windows 11. It isn't super high powered, but it loads fast and is a pleasure to use. Overall, if you are looking for a budget laptop with Windows 11, this one does not disappoint!

I still can't believe this thing sells for $199 - and it works incredibly well, especially for that price point. The 14" display is bright and clear, truly is 1080p (1920x1080). The keyboard feels very good - look closely at the layout as it's a bit oddly arranged for the ESC, HOME/END/PGUP/PGDN etc but that's typical for laptops in this size and especially price. The laptop is very thin and light as well. The CPU is typical for this pricepoint - nothing you're going to run PhotoShop on, but fine for Office, Web browsing, etc.I'm a little disappointed that the charger is NOT USB-C - it's DC 12V (note that compared to the typical 19V) and supplies 2A through a DC 3.5mm x 1.3 mm barrel connector. Use ASIN B0B9R6G9TL if you want USB-C though - it works perfectly, or find another 12V USB-C to DC3513 (3.5mm outer, 1.3mm inner) barrel connector. If you're looking for a value-priced laptop and do not plan to ever change anything about it, this is a GREAT choice. The SSD is easily accessible without opening the case, but it's "B" keyed so will ONLY support SATA SSDs - M.2 2280 form-factor drops in and despite appearances, there are NO screw holes for smaller sized drives. I did check an NVMe M.2 drive with a B+M adapter and no joy, so the PCIe pins simply aren't populated on the connector. If you had hopes of modifiying this, read on... see the later photos for the inside of the case, EVERYTHING is soldered down: LPDDR soldered, CPU soldered, even the WiFi is soldered. In other words, abandon any thoughts of modifying beyond swapping the M.2 SATA SSD for another one.Highly recommended for the price!

Everything I say in this review is based on the fact that this is a $199 laptop. It can't compare to an $800 laptop, but has a lot of capability for this price point. First, I love the logo. It looks like a alien transformer or something. Otherwise the esthetics of the laptop aren't very exciting. It reminds me of a laptop from the past. However it is pretty thin and lightweight, which is nice. I overall like the keyboard layout, but when touch-typing I found myself having some issues with the right hand side of the keyboard. This could be a "me" issue. Also I typically search the backspace key by finding the edge of the keyboard and its not on the edge of this laptop. The key action is ok. Not great, but this is a sub-$200 laptop. Also, the trackpad isn't bad. Everything is very usable. I thought the screen was better than expected. I watched some videos on it and streaming videos worked great. The speakers are kind of terrible. The speakers in my phone are better than this laptop, but my phone costs more. The good news is most people probably won't listen through the built in speakers but through bluetooth attached or plugged in headphones; this laptop can accommodate both. It has a mini jack for wired earphones as well as bluetooth support which worked great for me. I like that this laptop has USB ports on both sides, but I don't like that only the one on the right is USB3.0, and there is only one on each side. Also I would have preferred USB-C ports (these are USB-A). I love that this laptop has a dedicated HDMI out, however its mini-HDMI, so you will need an adapter or special cable. I also love that this has a micro sd card slot built in, which makes it easy to add storage to the already capable 256GB SSD drive. Also when placed in the slot the micro sd card barely sticks out of the side so you can leave it in there all of the time. So as far as ports, this laptop has a nice, very functional selection. One of the things I like least about this laptop is that it uses a dedicated power adapter rather than being able to be powered off a USB-C charger. Standardizing on a USB-C charger means ideally you can carry one charger for all of your devices. That's not the case with this laptop. However, having a dedicated power adapter is common in this price range. As far as performance, although overall I would say the device has enough capability for browsing and streaming, the processor is pretty underwhelming as modern processors go. I ran a benchmarking utility on the laptop and the CPU scored a 6 out of 100 (100 being the best), a 5/100 for 2d graphics, a 2/100 for Memory and a 25/100 for disk (so the disk speed is the shining star in this device). I was not able to run the 3d benchmark for some reason. The overall benchmark for the device came out to 17/100. But despite these less than stellar benchmark results, it worked fine for the basics. But don't think you will be able to play the latest games on this or do anything that will take a lot of processor capability (like video editing). This laptop comes with Windows 11 Pro, which was a surprise to me, since retail Windows 11 pro costs as much as this laptop. When I checked the license it was listed as "VOLUME_MAK" channel. I would have expected OEM. Not sure what's going on there but it seems odd. In any case, I sideloaded Ubuntu 24 LTS on the laptop to see how it would work, and it worked well. Networking, bluetooth, sound, everything just worked. So this would be a good base laptop for linux if you are so inclined to install it yourself. So overall, at this price, this isn't a bad choice. But if you if can afford an $800 laptop, I would definitely spend the extra to get something with more capability.
