I found using "proper" impact bits in my 10.8v DeWalt to be an expensive and frustrating chore. Since swapping to this Rapidaptor and bits, I have had no more problems with shattering bits. Impact bits feel harsher in use and shatter too easily, leaving quite dangerous jagged ends in the driver on shattering. Bits shattering is a much worse problem when working overhead. I know goggles should be used, but not everyone reaches for them every time they want to drive or remove a screw.I'm still on my first bit with this set and don't expect to have to replace it any time soon. It somehow feels "softer" in use and I feel safer and more confident when using the impact driver now. I have been using Wera bits for years in my old Hitachi drill drivers and found them superior to others, tougher and much longer lasting. I tried the DeWalt bits briefly (box of 25) and found them to be too soft. Went through them in no time. Back to Wera again.Update 19th October 2014.After a fair bit of use I had a problem with the Rapidaptor not securing the bits and got in contact with Wera. The Customer Service was excellent (thank you, Joanne). They sent out a new Rapidaptor and some new bits in no time even after I explained the Rapidaptor was being used in my impact driver and not just an ordinary cordless drill. It's refreshing to see a company stand by their products and value the customer.
