You may need to read instructions for how to put the staples inside (some reviews explain it) but once you have it's a very solid stapler. Note that you will need to get the proper staples for it - they are not all one standard size or solidity - otherwise they won't be strong enough or long enough to get through a thick pile of papers and the staples will just get mashed up. But with the right staples this is a dream. No more frustration with standard 'heavy duty' staplers that struggle with more than half a dozen sheets.

it works very well as long as you buy the correct heavy duty staples with cheaper staples it just mangles them up

This stapler is awesome. Strong, full metal construction, non-slip base, easy staple reload, staples like a dream - just done 100 sheets with no effort at all. All this and delivered in 24 hours.Stop cursing your existing office stapler for failing at jobs it was never designed to do and buy this stapler now.

This is basically what you would expect it to be - a heavy duty stapler that works. It feels reassuringly heavy and well put together, and I was surprised at how little force is necessary - I've been using it to staple together 64 sheets at a time, and really you only need moderate pressure to go through them. Just a few points to note:- It doesn't come with a manual, but it's really not that complicated to operate;- It doesn't come with any staples, so you have to buy them. Make sure you buy the right sort - type '923'.- Note that you need to use the appropriate length of staple according to the number of sheets you are stapling together. It has a handy label on the front to guide you as to what length of staple is appropriate.And that's it! Not much more to say - there's no point buying something more expensive than this, it does the job and is fine. I can only assume that the other reviewers who had difficulties were using the wrong type of staples.
