A few things to note:There's only 3 usb ports on this. We'll, 3 USB ports plus one dedicated USB port for your keyboard. If you're like me, and have a lot of usb devices, this may be an issue.If you try to reduce the number of usb ports that you need, by using a wireless keyboard/mouse combo that only needs one port, this KVM will NOT work correctly. You won't be able to move the mouse over to the second monitor; you'll be able to see the monitor, and your computer will recognize the display, but your mouse won't go over there. You must use a keyboard and mouse that use separate USB ports.The hot key switching on this only occasionally works. I usually have to push the button on the actual KVM.When I wake up the computers from being asleep, the 2nd monitor doesn't always come up. I have to switch btwn the 2 computers, via the button on the KVM (because the hot key switching rarely works), to get the 2nd monitor to come up.I'm not the least bit impressed with the image quality on my monitors. I have one monitor that is using HDMI input, and one that is using an HDMI to VGA cable, as it's an older monitor (this KIM'S video outputs are HDMI). The monitor using the HDMI to VGA looks ok, but my new monitor using HDMI looks "washed out." I've been playing with the display settings for days now and can't get it to look any better. My monitor looks fine if I bypass the KVM.I'm using this KVM with 2 Dell Thunderbolt docks. I have not tried using it without the docks, as I frequently need to unhook my laptops and use them elsewhere, so there's no way I'm not going to use the docks. I have not tested whether any of my issues could be resolved by not using the Thunderbolts.All in all, the KVM does technically do what it's supposed to do, I just can't say that it does it well. I'm honestly inbetween giving it 3 or 4 stars.

I needed this to setup a two computer, two monitor setup and reduce the back and forth between the two.The KVM works just like it should and give me the ability to switch between computers while using the same peripherals. The ability to also share the monitors gives me flexibility on any headless units I need to hook up to monitors.I wish the refresh rate on 4K was better that 60 but for the price it makes sense why it isnt.All in all it does what it is designed to do with very little footprint.

My old work from home setup involved 2 PCs and three monitor, a keyboard and mouse which I had to change channels on independently to switch between the two PCs, a remote control to change monitor inputs (I'm using a 4K OLED TV as a shared monitor) and HDMI dongles so that Windows doesn't realize the monitor has been disconnected when I switch inputs on the TV (thus, moving around all my windows over to one monitor). I just discovered this KVM switch and it replaces ALL of that mess and makes it MUCH quicker to change peripherals and OLED from one PC to the other and Windows doesn't mess up my apps. I wish I had found out about this device back when Covid sent us all to work from home, but better late than never.

Para llevar la señal en el bar de la familia a lo largo de unos 30 metros de cable, funciona tal como se espera.No sé si en distancias mayores lo harÍa igual de bien porque no lo he probado, pero hasta lo que hemos podido ver, funciona correctamente.

Es una buena opción para transmitir video y audio a otra televisión que tengamos en otra habitación, evidentemente la retransmisión con buena calidad dependerá de lo lejos que esté la habitación y la construcción de la misma, puedes enviar cualquier señal de video/audio ya sea una consola, pc, decodificador o bluray siempre que tengamos hdmi para la transmisión, he probado la transmisión en 4k@60Hz y ha funcionado sin ningun problema, me ha funcionado perfectamente

Crystal clear 4k picture WITH HDR, pinned at 60 frames per second. This product delivers as advertised. My install is between two rooms with a single CAT7 cable between endpoints. I have had zero problems. I have not tested the IR throughput yet. Using Power Over Ethernet (PoE) to power both endpoints with one AC adapter is a very convenient feature.The send and receive units are even smaller and thinner than expected. They have metal cases and seem well built. That said, (and as others have pointed out) these devices get hot to the touch when they are on. It seems as though the entire metal case is acting as a heat sync. I've looked into it and this appears to be normal. Consider using standoffs if you plan to mount the send/receive units. So far, I'm extremely pleased and wouldn't hesitate to try other AV Access products.

En mi caso conocia este tipo de extensores HDMI pero personalmente no los habia probado y puedo decir que de verdad he quedado encantado con el resultado.Desde hace unos años en mi vivienda utilizaba un metodo ya anticuado para transportar audio y video a traves de la propia instalacion de antena de television utilizando una frecuencia analogica, con la consiguiente perdida de calidad de imagen y sonido e incluso perdida de señal.Con este extensor HDMI ya no tengo la necesidad de utilizar ese metodo antiguo. Ahora puedo tener mi señal de audio y video con la maxima calidad posible aunque eso si, ahora debo de utilizar un cable ethernet para transportar dicha señal.Este extensor HDMI de la marca AV Access tiene un diseño industrial, puede ser montado en rieles rack o en cajas de telecomunicaciones ICT o sobre la pared misma y no necesita mantenimiento. Es Plug & Play por lo que no necesita de ningun tipo de configuracion.Tambien es Bi-Direccional PoE lo que significa que debemos alimentar con su adaptador a corriente electrica el transmisor o el receptor, pero no los 2 dispositivos a la vez.En la caja encontramos junto con los 2 dispositivos (transmisor y receptor) y su manual de usuario, un adaptador de corriente de 18V 1A, un cable emisor IR, un cable receptor IR y un conector Phoenix de 3 pines RS232 que no he necesitado utilizar.La conexion del extensor HDMI es muy sencilla:- Unicamente debemos conectar un cable ethernet (CAT5e en adelante) de manera directa entre el transmisor y el receptor.- Conectar un cable HDMI entre el transmisor y nuestro dispositivo que queremos visualizar como consolas de videojuegos, reproductores Media Player, receptores de TV, etc.- Conectar un cable HDMI entre el receptor y nuestra TV, pantalla o proyector.- Conectar el adaptador de corriente al transmisor o el receptor, a su eleccion.- Y si fuera necesario conectar el cable receptor IR en el AV Access transmisor y el cable emisor IR en el AV Access receptor. Algunos mandos no son compatibles ya que utilizan tecnologia Bluetooth.Como dije al principio de mi reseña, me a parecido un gran salto de calidad utilizar este extensor HDMI comparandolo con mi antigua instalacion de transportar A/V. La unica parte negativa es que se necesita de un cable ethernet directo, aunque si no utilizaramos este extensor AV Access la alternativa seria utilizar un cable HDMI extremadamente largo y extremadamente caro.

Consta de 2 periféricos uno para recibir la imagen codificarla, amplificarla y "transmitirla" por la red, y un segundo equipo que recibe esa transmisión y la decodifica para transformarla nuevamente en información audiovisual que podamos ver en una pantalla/proyector/tv... bastante lejana.Lo llevo utilizando un par de meses para transmitir una señal 2K, de una nave donde tenemos un servidor de renderización a unas oficinas para que se vea en un proyector, durante las presentaciones de empresa.La señal llega perfectamente en una instalación de unos 38 metros de longitud.A mi entender es un buen producto por la calidad de imagen que transmite, que no presenta ninguna anomalía, congelación o ralentización de imagen; Además estéticamente estos periféricos dan la sensación de electrónica de altas prestaciones, tanto por la calidad de sus puertos como por el tipo de disipación.

La imagen aparecía completamente temblorosa e irreconocible.Conseguí ver bien la imagen poniendo profundidad de color de 8 bits en lugar de 12 en el emisor, cuando con otro equipo de 30€ No tengo que hacer ninguna manipulación.El sonido no ha habido forma de que se oyera en destino.El IR funciona perfectamente

The packaging was simple and nice. Instructions was simple and straight forward. Exactly what I wanted. Ive searched around for something that has similar specification but the price just does not come close to this. Good bang for buck. I got everything along with this unit brand new, new receiver, new HDMI cables, new TV etc etc. I did, however, ran into a small issue that would drive some users mad. I have CAT5e running inside the walls as I just finished renovating the basement. At first, the green LINK status light does not appear, which caused some nervousness as I thought the cable was faulty inside the wall. So I pushed my Rack over to the TV so i can run a ethernet cable just to test if it works. Green lights appear, but it intermittently, goes away, and starts blinking. But it will also stay light. Very inconsistent. I did not get a picture once on the TV, it just kept trying to retrieve the signal, yet never found. I noticed my Receiver kept clicking on and off, as if it doesn't detect any input. I tried all the HDMI cables, new and old, same issue. Changed to my old receiver. Same issue. Finally, found out the Transmitter extender could not hold the AC power steady. I put the AC power onto the receiver extender and now it works fine. Green light stays lit, and I have picture. Other than that small yet frustrating issue. The unit works fantastic, picture is great and steady, HDR wors, 4K works. I advise anyone with a similar problem to try switching the power to the corresponding unit or try a different wall outlet just in case (maybe it was my surge bar, who knows).The unit is smaller than I initially imagined. It does heat up a bit so I would advise people to give it some ventilation just in case. These are electronis, don't expect to be absolutely perfect. No electronics are perfect. Take extra precaution and set up everything correctly and well ventilated.**UPDATE. After using the unit for over a month now. I still run into problems where it loses signal. It quickly retrieves it but loses it again. Since the rx is behind the tv and secured onto the wall mount and its the one with the ac power. I just disconnect the TX ethernet where it gets POE. And plug it back in after a minute. It work just fine. This happend twice since i started using the unit
