I had another pair of hiking boots from Asolo which had lasted 20 years and were very comfortable so I wanted to keep to the same make. I measured my feet to see if they'd grown and was coming up a 5 1/2 , old ones were a 5 and a perfect fit but that could have something to do with the age and a lot of wearing in! It's always hard ordering boots/shoes on line because of sizing but I did and tried these on as soon as I got them, they felt snug and supportive. Walked around a bit indoors and felt that they just needed wearing in so decided to keep them. Went for a 4 mile walk the next day and no problem on one foot but on the other because it's slightly bigger and I have a bunion it was a bit tight and rubbing on my little toe. I think with a lot of wearing in they will be fine but I'm wishing that I'd gone for the 6 now, I hope they're not an expensive mistake because of this. I recommend going half a size up as they are on the slightly smaller side. Grip, support and sole comfort perfect!
