I recently got my hands on the GeeekPi Argon Neo 5 M.2 NVME PCIe Case for my Raspberry Pi 5, and overall, it’s been a fantastic upgrade. Let me walk you through my experience so far:Build Quality & InstallationThe case feels sturdy right out of the box, with a sleek aluminum finish that looks great on any desk setup.Putting it together was surprisingly straightforward: just align the Pi 5 with the screw holes, pop in the thermal pads, attach the M.2 drive, and secure the lid. If you’re new to tinkering with Raspberry Pi cases, don’t stress—it’s way simpler than it might sound.M.2 NVME PCIe SlotThe main highlight is definitely the onboard M.2 NVME slot. Once I got my SSD in and booted the Pi directly from it, everything sped up considerably, from system loading times to large file transfers.For projects that need fast, reliable storage—like media centers, databases, or web servers—this feature is a real game-changer.Cooling & PerformanceThe aluminum enclosure helps dissipate heat, which is crucial if you’re pushing the Pi 5 hard. Even during lengthy use, I haven’t noticed any thermal throttling or major slowdowns.The combination of metal, integral fan and the included thermal pads keeps temperatures stable for more demanding workloads.Potential Issues & FixesA few people mentioned slight alignment hiccups when fastening the top cover. For me, it was fine, but if you do run into it, just make sure the board and SSD are fully seated. Realigning the Pi 5 and snugging the screws evenly can help avoid any misalignment.Interestingly, the GPIO Pinouts printed on the case show Pin 9 and Pin 6 swapped around, which doesn’t match the standard pinouts you’ll find online. If you rely on physical labeling for your projects, double-check with a proper GPIO reference before hooking anything up.Final ThoughtsDespite the small mix-up with the GPIO labeling, I’m super happy with this case overall. It’s tough, stylish, and integrates seamlessly with my high-speed NVMe drive—which is exactly what I was looking for. If you want to unlock the full power of your Raspberry Pi 5, the GeeekPi Argon Neo 5 is definitely worth the investment.

Sono estremamente soddisfatto di questo GeekPi Argon NEO5 M.2. Questo case rappresenta una soluzione elegante e funzionale per il Raspberry Pi 5, integrando un alloggiamento dedicato per un modulo M.2 NVMe SSD. Il design, elegante e minimalista, si abbina perfettamente al Raspberry Pi 5, mentre la qualità costruttiva in alluminio conferisce leggerezza e resistenza al tempo stesso.Dopo aver installato sia il Raspberry Pi 5 che il modulo M.2 NVMe SSD, ho immediatamente notato un significativo miglioramento delle prestazioni del sistema (in predecenza usavo una normale microSD). Il case è in grado di mantenere temperature ottimali, anche durante sessioni di utilizzo intensivo, grazie al suo efficiente sistema di dissipazione del calore integrato. La ventola integrata non eccede nel rumore ed entra in funzione solo di rado. In effetti, ho riscontrato una riduzione tangibile della temperatura del dispositivo rispetto ad altri case utilizzati in passato.In conclusione, il case si distingue per la sua affidabilità e prestazioni superiori, risultando una scelta altamente consigliata per chi cerca una soluzione di alta qualità per il proprio Raspberry Pi 5.

La caja ofrece unos acabados excelentes y una gran forma de utilizar la Raspberry Pi 5 con la seguridad de que tenemos tanto un sistema de disipación pasiva como un ventilador que se conecta a la propia placa y se controla desde la Pi.Algo que le añade valor con respecto a una simple carcasa para Pi es que, aparte de estar totalmente hecha de metal y tener un tacto y acabados muy premium, trae una controladora en la parte inferior para poder usar un SSD M.2 NVMe de hasta 4 posibles medidas.Me ha gustado mucho que viene con tornillos, destornillador y los botones necesarios para poder activar los distintos interruptores que tiene la Pi a través de la caja.El precio puede ser un poco elevado (unos 50€ en el momento de pedirlo) pero también la considero por encima de otras cajas que no tienen soporte para SSD M.2 y son totalmente de plástico.

Kürzlich habe ich das „Argon Neo 5 M.2 NVMe" Gehäuse erworben – ein Upgrade, nachdem ich bereits vom normalen Neo 5 begeistert war. Der Umstieg auf eine M.2 SSD machte diesen Wechsel nötig, und ich entschied mich für dieses M.2-kompatible Modell. Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist erstklassig: keine Spalten, keine losen Teile. Alle drei Gehäusekomponenten fügen sich nahtlos ineinander, was die Montage zum Kinderspiel macht.Die Kühlleistung des Gehäuses ist bemerkenswert und übertrifft alle anderen Raspberry Cases auf dem Markt. Der Lüfter passt seine Geschwindigkeit automatisch an, wenn der Prozessor unter Last steht, und die Aluminium-Kühlrippen leiten die Wärme effizient ab.Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt betrifft das mitgelieferte Thermalpad für die M.2 SSD, das leider zu dick ist. Beim Versuch, den Aluminiumdeckel mit dem Pad auf die M.2 zu schrauben, biegt sich die Festplatte. Aus diesem Grund habe ich das Pad weggelassen. Glücklicherweise habe ich keinen Temperaturunterschied festgestellt, da die Festplatte auch ohne Pad bei angenehmen 30-38 Grad bleibt.Insgesamt kann ich dieses Gehäuse jedem empfehlen, der ein hochwertiges Case für seinen Raspberry Pi sucht.

My Raspi has been rocking this case, and only this case, for the last couple of months since I bought it. And my Raspi looks fire in this case.The build quality feels premium. 90% of the case is made out of aluminium. Only the lower plate, where the M.2 drive is installed, is made out of plastic.GPIO and other sockets are accessible with the top cover removed. You will need to add a GPIO extension header to be able to comfortably access the pins, which I believe is not included. Without it, you can still access the pins, but the 40pin GPIO cable might not sit 100% without a header.This case really excels in heat dissipation and ventilation, I've been super happy with my temperatures since installing it.The case comes with a handy simple transportation bag.The only major drawback this case has is opening and closing the top cover. The top is secured with 2 screws. If you're constantly removing it, you'll have to constantly screw and unscrew those 2 screws for the rest of your life. Without the screws, the top will just loosely sit on the case.I have not had any issues with my power button, as another user has noted. Mine feels clicky and fine. It is made out of plastic, but it does not feel flimsy.Buy this case, your Raspberry Pi 5 will be the classiest in town.
