Adafruit 12 NeoPixels LED inteligentes ultrabrillantes están dispuestos en un círculo con 37 mm de diámetro exterior. Los anillos son "encadenables": conecta el pin de salida de uno al pin de entrada de otro. Utiliza solo un pin microcontrolador para controlar tantos como puedas encadenar juntos. Cada LED es direccionable, ya que el chip del controlador está dentro del LED. Cada uno tiene una unidad de corriente constante de 18 mA, por lo que el color será muy consistente incluso si el voltaje varía, y no se requieren resistencias externas de estrangulamiento, lo que hace que el diseño sea delgado. Potencia todo con 5 V CC y ya está listo para rockear.
Hay una sola línea de datos con un protocolo muy específico de tiempo. Dado que el protocolo es muy sensible a la temporización, requiere un microcontrolador en tiempo real como un AVR, Arduino, PIC, mbed, etc. No se puede utilizar con un microordenador basado en Linux o microcontrolador interpretado como el netduino o el sello básico. Nuestra maravillosa biblioteca Neopixel para Arduino soporta estos píxeles. Como requiere montaje ajustado a mano, es sólo para núcleos AVR, pero otros pueden haber portado este código de controlador de chip, así que por favor google alrededor. Se requiere un procesador de 8 MHz o más rápido.

This beautiful ring of RGB LEDs worked like a charm, and the Adafruit Neopixel library's strand test showed a complete array of colors. One warning, though: this thing is bright enough that it hurt my eyes to look at it in the dark. Even so, there was no permanent damage and those little 5050 LEDs are arrayed so that the test ran counterclockwise (the larger 16 LED ring runs clockwise with the same test).I just love this. Hands-down, great for the price.
