This tablet stand is extremely heavy. It's perfect for point of sale terminal as there is no chance that anyone will be able to budge this once it's bolted down. I was really impressed with the quality and immediately made me think of the stands they use at tech stores to display their tablets, as this is almost exactly like that. You definitely do not have to worry about theft when using this. It is heavy enough that you probably wouldn't need to bolt it down, if you wanted to have this for home use as it's much heavier than any 11 inch tablet could possibly be, but it is certainly best suited to a business. Overall, I'm really happy with this and can't get over how solid and versatile it is.

I’m not sure why I thought this stand would be a good idea for home use, to make my iPad eye level while using at my desk. Indeed it did work for that, somewhat, but I could never stabilize it because I didn’t want to secure it to the desk permanently, eliminating the mobility to carry both to other areas. Besides, this baby is way too heavy to carry from room to room! However, if you purchase this for it’s intended purpose, you will not be disappointed! This stand has weight to it, is well made, adjustable and comes with the necessary screws to secure to your table or desk. Assembly was a breeze, even for me!

Missing the support bar so I will have to send it back. The base is surprisingly heavy, and the whole thing looks like it's meant to be a challenge to thieves. I wanted to use it to keep a calendar handy, but it's really meant for point of sale systems and menus. If I'm sent a working one I will definitely use it and provide an updated review. Properly installed I think this will fight back. If screwed into the counter it won't travel well, but the base is heavy enough I figured I could use it for travel for my needs.UPDATE - Got the replacement yesterday and the return is still waiting to be sent. So extra stars for customer service! Assembled it in about ten minutes, plenty of hardware and the directions were more than adequate. I was unable to tighten the hinge to keep the tablet at a more upward facing angle because the hinge screw goes into a plastic nut. It's just a bit too small to hold my Kindle. For a proper tablet, if any thief were to look at it, this stand would say "challenge accepted!" Heck, it's so heavy it would fight crime even if you don't screw it down. I think it would work great for a POS or menu, if the angle could be better controlled.

Thes stand is ideal to use in a POS environment. The stand easily locks down to a tablet to make it easy for customers to use - but not possible to stealIt can also serve as a desktop holder in a casual work space. It is very solidly consturcted.
