I have written some reviews on ABBA products as a huge fan of the band. Karl Magnus Palm wrote such thorough books on the band that I sometimes think there is nothing left to be said. With all the wonderful picture books in circulation you would think there are no more pictures that we haven’t seen. But I was wrong. This book goes right to the music and the lyrics and who played and somehow the author was able to find pictures that I was never aware of. This is a book for ABBA fans and for people just curious to know about creation process of some of the best known and best loved songs of all time. Also, a lot of people in the UK and Australia have made incorrect statements that ABBA were not popular in the United States when it is in fact grossly inaccurate. They had seven straight top 40 US hits from 1974 into 1977 … and after missing the top 40 with “money money money” they went right back into the top 40 and continue to chart well into 1980. and in total had nearly 20 chart entries, including Two solo hits by Frida and Agnetha.

This is a beautiful book, written for fans. The author obviously is a fan as well, because you won't find many critical notes in this book.I was wondering what this book was going to be about, because there is not much you can say about the lyrics of each individual song, but the author provides a nice back story about how the songs came about and the production of each song.Furthermore, the book is full of beautiful pictures, which gives it a premium look and feel.This is a beautiful gift for each Abba fan.
